A native of Northern Virginia, born in Washington, D.C., Dr. DeYoung earned an AAS in Physical Therapy and worked as an LPTA before going on to chiropractic college. She received her BS in Human Biology and later a Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Logan College of Chiropractic in St. Louis, MO. In 1982 she became a diplomat of the NBCE and established Old Towne Chiropractic Service in 1983.

In conjunction with her professional affiliations and postgraduate work in chiropractic, natural health and wellness, Dr. DeYoung:

• Served on the Board of Guest House, a rehabilitation house
• Is an active member of the Alexandria Chamber of Commerce
• Is a member of Christ Church and Self-Realization Fellowship
